Hello Venetians,
First of all, Venice would like to wish you all a Happy New Year! We hope you were able to spend the Holidays with your family, friends and loved ones and we wish you the best in 2015.

We're writing you to share some exciting upcoming shows we'll be doing as well as some news regarding Venice plans for new releases in the coming months.
We'll be debuting a song or two this Saturday at the Canyon Club and we'll continue to add more new songs to the live shows as the year progresses.

New Venice Music
In the previous December newsletter we let you know that the original 7 members of Venice, known to some as the Magnificent 7, or M7, reunited at Hideaway Hill in November to write some new songs. Last week we came together again for a second trip to Hideaway Hill to cut basic tracks for some of the new songs we started in November.
It's been over 20 years since Scott Crago and Monroe Jones played with the Lennons and Mark Harris...but what an effortless and amazing 4 days we had, cutting basic tracks for 6 of the new songs we wrote.
There is still more work to do, but we plan to have a two-part release from the Venice M7 lineup this year...The first of these two releases will be available at Venice's European tour this April...the second part will be ready later this year...Very exciting!
For those of you who can't wait, we're releasing a single of "I See You There" in Holland in the coming week. "I See You There" is the song we wrote for Marius Suiker, our dear friend and band crew member from the Netherlands who recently lost a brief but tragic fight with cancer. The single will only be available as a digital download and will be available on iTunes in the coming week but if you can't wait, you can get it on CD Baby here. A portion of the proceeds will go to Marius's favorite children's cancer organization, Kika.nl. We hope you'll all agree that .99 cents is not so bad for a song...especially if you're helping to fight children's cancer with your purchase. This is the first released track that includes the M7 line up.
*Below, in black & white is a shot of the Magnificent 7 in the early 1990's....and below that, in color, is the same band, standing in the same order at Hideaway Hill in November, 2014.

Venice on VINYL?
YES! Venice is coming to a record player near you!
For those of you who miss the sound of the needle hitting the record we finally have a treat for you...it's a double album of the mellower side of Venice titled, "Venetian Vinyl". It's a partnership between Lennon Records and Sony's Music On Vinyl distribution.
The band sat together for days, choosing our favorite acoustic based tracks from previous albums...then we sequenced them in an order that we think really flows...giving you a compilation album you can put on, then kick back on the couch, kick your shoes off, grab your favorite beverage and relax while we massage your ear drums with what we feel is the best of our vocal harmonies and vibey tracks we've created to date.

Venetian Vinyl should be available in April at the Venice European tour shows....and also in the states in May.
